915tldr®
intro
El Paso's news is scattered across a dozen different websites, Facebook groups, and Twitter feeds. Business owners and residents were spending 20+ minutes every morning just trying to stay informed about their city.
I built 915tldr to fix that — a single source for El Paso news that's fast, clean, and gets straight to the point.

Challenge
El Pasoans had no single, reliable source for local news. The existing options were either paywalled, cluttered with ads, or buried in social media noise. People were missing important local stories that affected their businesses and communities.
Solution
I designed and built a custom news aggregation platform that pulls stories from 10+ local sources into a clean, searchable feed. The interface is mobile-first — because that's how most people check news — with smart filtering by topic and neighborhood.
The backend handles duplicate detection, source credibility scoring, and automatic categorization. No manual curation needed.
Results
Within 6 months, 915tldr grew to over 2,000 daily readers. Average session time is 4 minutes — people actually read the content instead of bouncing. 65% of traffic comes from mobile, exactly as designed.
The site loads in under 1 second and consistently scores 95+ on Google's performance metrics.
